Project Description

Dog Sledding

Dog sledding is an activity that you can’t do everywhere! The mountains surrounding Vail are an amazing, ideal place to try it. With plenty of snow and breathtaking mountain views, dog sledding here will be a very special, exhilarating experience and a memory you will never forget.

The cost of a dog sledding trip is around $200 per person, but well worth it. A trip typically takes around 4 hours door to door. Most guides pick you up and return you to your hotel, which is included in the cost and the time frame. When you arrive you are introduced to the people and dogs that are there to make your day one of the most incredible ever. Typically, kennel  tours, facts about dog sledding and the dogs and time to get to know your dogs up close and personal are included, as well as warm drinks and snacks. Photos are usually taken during your trip and are available for purchase at the end of the day.

You will want to read up on your guide’s website about what to wear and bring along and what is provided. There are many different locations in our area for dog sledding tours, so you will want to read up on that too and maybe check out a map. Dog sledding tours book up fast since there are only a certain number of dogs, sleds, days when conditions are perfect and there is a lot of demand for tours. So, if you want to take a dog sled tour during your time at Sandstone Creek Club, research now and book your tour soon!
